Our Generation

This is your generation, what are you going to do about it? How are you going to change it?
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 NIV
Ask yourself this question: How are you going to make a difference in your generation?
Let me answer that right now. You can't. Here is the real question: How are you going to let God use you to change this ugly and disgusting world? Just dig deep in that question and think about it for awhile.
Satan wants us dead. He wants EVERYONE dead. The only person that the devil didn't want dead was Jesus because He was the only one that was born to die. Jesus' mission was to die on the cross for our sins and satan knew that. My dad would say that satan knows the scriptures very well. He knew that God had a mission for His only son, and that mission was to set the world free.
Changing your generation is simply being humble like Jesus and dying like He did. Let me explain. God's mission and destination for every person's life is to DIE. For Jesus it's physically. For us it's dying to our flesh. The Son of Man literally died. But He gave us the Holy Spirit so that we don't have to literally die. We have to die to the flesh that's inside of us and let God's Spirit control us. Well how do you let the Spirit control you? Or what does that look like?
Well it's simply reading the bible daily and committing to His will. We can find the answers to life in that book. But that doesn't help you to die to yourself. When you read the bible AND apply it to your life, you will find joy in Jesus Christ. 1 timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. What about school? That's a great place to start.
So don't let others tell you who you are. That is God's job. He thoughts for you are MORE than the sands of the sea. God loves you so much! We don't even know how much! I just think that's awesome.
Well that was a lot to write. Let me know what you think. I hope I didn't make you fall asleep. Just remember that God loves you and He wants you on His side. Have a great day!

Dear X, YOU DON'T OWN ME

Dear X by Disciple, dear pain, anger, shame, emotions, guess what, you don't own me. Teenagers struggle with emotions but what we need to realize is that they don't own us. Guess who does? Jesus Christ! This is a huge deal, that's why people commit suicide. This high school student from calhan was going through emotions because a girl that he loved didn't love him an there was no one to comfort him, no one to tell him how much he was loved. He knew Jesus but he didn't live his life to the fullest. He died a senior when he had his life ahead of him, but a gun stood in between that. He had a lot of emotions going on because someone rejected him and hurt him really bad. He came home with a gun and shot himself in the head. He killed himself. It is so important that we encourage and show everyone the love that God gave us, and to make sure that we talk to EVERYONE and ask how they are doing. If someone who is lonely and has no friends suddenly skip school, or not come to church, or youth group will we miss him? Will we say where were you?? Here is another question. Do you notice the missing people, not just your friends but everyone in the group setting?

Challenge: meet someone new and hang out with them. If it's school talk to them at school and plan to meet somewhere like sonic or culvers. Whatever or wherever it is, try to be a friend to those who have none. Try to be the Jesus that they never had in their live. Thanks for reading. Please think about it. God bless you! And Jesus loves you. Don't get down by this. Let it encourage you. Step up.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

I'm Trying

Trying by eleventy seven, I'm trying to live trying to hope trying to love trying to cope. We are all trying in this world and everyone fails. We may try to find a cure to sin, but sin continues. There is no cure to stop sinning. Then why do we fight? Because He fought for us. Do you want to stand up or give up? God specifically gave us instructions on how to conquer sin. He gave us the bible, the holy spirit, prayer and the armor of God. And because Jesus overcame sin we have the same ability to overcome sin if we choose to.

2 corinthians 10:5-6 from the message says: 5 We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. 6 Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity. And the new king james version: 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

So what I'm trying to get to is that we can try in this world because of Jesus Christ. There is a question that has been on my mind that someone on the radio asked: if someone doesn't die for our sins then who will? And that question can be used in most topics. If we are all sinning then who won't sin? If no who will lead then who will? YOU. You are qualified. Go lead the world with Christ on the thrown. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you- Philippians 4:13. All you have to do is ask Him! Lead. This is for those who read (although I only know of one person that reads my post) this post. Live the three e's. "Be an example, encourage others and endure in an authentic relationship with Christ". Try, and try hard. Don't give up trying.

Light Up The Sky by The Afters

God showed me that He is with me. I was listening to the song light up the sky by the afters. The lyrics go light, light, light up the sky, light up the sky to show me you are with me, I, I, I can't deny, no I can't deny that you are right here with me, you open my eyes so I can see you all around me, light, light, light up the sky, light up the sky to show me that you are with me.

The previous nights I played that song during worship and the sky lit up, it was soooo amazing, the sky was awesome and through that God said He is with me. I was shocked... the God of this earth with ... people is with one of the least important. I only milk cows. I would like He would rather be with the president or the church. The most important people and things but He chose me to be on His team. To be apart of something holy, to be a part of His kingdom and His glory. So this one night was different because it just didn't feel right but the last song I played was light up the sky and the clouds weren't lighting up.

The whole thirty mins the clouds didn't light up. So as I was listening there was no lightning and I said to myself even if the clouds don't light up I know God is with me, it was the last part of the chorus and this HUGE lightning strike flashed and I was just amazed beyond words, even during prayer I couldn't say anything. I said God I am speechless, I can't express how astonished I was, I said God only you can describe how I feel because God knows us better then ourselves and He knows every feeling. God's love overflows like a pitcher with water when it rushes down and spills. Search  the dictionary and wright down "authentic relationship with Jesus/God", what does it mean to have an authentic relationship with God?

I Was Homeless

I was homeless, living on the street, dirty and sinful, messed up and full on shame. Deserving this pain and hurt and feelings telling me death is my destiny because of the choices of my forefathers. But there was a man, completely God but completely flesh, he took the cross, he took my sin, my shame and my brokenness, he took my pain. I am no longer in captivity, no longer empty inside, but full of Him who bore my sorrow. No longer do I belong to the one who calls me worthless, but in Christ I am whole. My destiny no longer death but now life. No longer homeless, for through the gift of salvation I have been takin in by the one who loves, the one who cherishes.

Life Is A Raging Sea

Life is a raging sea. If we try our best to cross it on our own we will "always" fail. In this world people keep trying to cross that water by themselves but will "always" fail. The thing is, heaven is on the other side. We see it and get overwhelmed by the site. We keep trying and trying on our own and no matter what we use or do, we will "always" fail. Although if we ask for God's help, we will "always secede. If we ask for the Lord Jesus Christ, He "will" part the sea for us. And we "will" cross with a STRAIGHT path.

I realized how much that person sounds like me. I tend to try to do the impossible and try to be the first, but end up the last. And when I have lost every hope in doing it, I look to God. "I can't do it on my own because I will 'always' fail". I need your help and guidance. Lead me father.

"If you're an ocean, Then I wanna jump right in, If you're a hand grenade, Then I'll pull the pin, I'll wait right here, all night for you, To let me in and I'll run run run run, Run right back to you, I'll run". Lyrics by The Almost.

How He Loves

God loves us to death. To show that He sent his son to the very earth He created to die because of the love that He had (and still has) for us. Satan hates to death. By showing that he tears us down by killing, stealing and destroying our hearts and our lives. He gives us depression, anger and pain. Throwing things our way so that we may lay down the rest of our lives.

Ephesians 6:12-13
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Satan throws things our way. Do we choose to lay of the ground until the savior comes or fight and having done all, to stand? Will you fight? It's your choice, not your parents or your pastor. It's your life. Really it's God's life because he created you but we have the free choice. The Holy Spirit is our guide but he can't make the choices for us. He can only encourage us. What do you choose?

Jesus died on the cross, conquering death, and taking the keys from Satan. Because of that we have the Holy Spirit. Because we have the our Guide, we have the power to resist and rebuke the devil. We also have power of sin, but only if we take thoughts captive, resist the devil (2 Corinthians 10:5-6) and look to God for His instructions.

Thanks for reading. I hope this helps for those who read. God loves you!
