I Was Homeless

I was homeless, living on the street, dirty and sinful, messed up and full on shame. Deserving this pain and hurt and feelings telling me death is my destiny because of the choices of my forefathers. But there was a man, completely God but completely flesh, he took the cross, he took my sin, my shame and my brokenness, he took my pain. I am no longer in captivity, no longer empty inside, but full of Him who bore my sorrow. No longer do I belong to the one who calls me worthless, but in Christ I am whole. My destiny no longer death but now life. No longer homeless, for through the gift of salvation I have been takin in by the one who loves, the one who cherishes.

Life Is A Raging Sea

Life is a raging sea. If we try our best to cross it on our own we will "always" fail. In this world people keep trying to cross that water by themselves but will "always" fail. The thing is, heaven is on the other side. We see it and get overwhelmed by the site. We keep trying and trying on our own and no matter what we use or do, we will "always" fail. Although if we ask for God's help, we will "always secede. If we ask for the Lord Jesus Christ, He "will" part the sea for us. And we "will" cross with a STRAIGHT path.

I realized how much that person sounds like me. I tend to try to do the impossible and try to be the first, but end up the last. And when I have lost every hope in doing it, I look to God. "I can't do it on my own because I will 'always' fail". I need your help and guidance. Lead me father.

"If you're an ocean, Then I wanna jump right in, If you're a hand grenade, Then I'll pull the pin, I'll wait right here, all night for you, To let me in and I'll run run run run, Run right back to you, I'll run". Lyrics by The Almost.

How He Loves

God loves us to death. To show that He sent his son to the very earth He created to die because of the love that He had (and still has) for us. Satan hates to death. By showing that he tears us down by killing, stealing and destroying our hearts and our lives. He gives us depression, anger and pain. Throwing things our way so that we may lay down the rest of our lives.

Ephesians 6:12-13
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Satan throws things our way. Do we choose to lay of the ground until the savior comes or fight and having done all, to stand? Will you fight? It's your choice, not your parents or your pastor. It's your life. Really it's God's life because he created you but we have the free choice. The Holy Spirit is our guide but he can't make the choices for us. He can only encourage us. What do you choose?

Jesus died on the cross, conquering death, and taking the keys from Satan. Because of that we have the Holy Spirit. Because we have the our Guide, we have the power to resist and rebuke the devil. We also have power of sin, but only if we take thoughts captive, resist the devil (2 Corinthians 10:5-6) and look to God for His instructions.

Thanks for reading. I hope this helps for those who read. God loves you!
